Q & A
Bayes Market uses an automated market maker (APMM) to set prices for each outcome. When you place a trade, the cost is calculated based on current prices, and the share amount is shown. As users trade, prices shift based on market demand.
Prices represent the collective probability estimate of an outcome. When new information appears (news, data, opinions), users buy or sell accordingly, adjusting prices. Like in financial markets, prices reflect evolving information and sentiment.
Each market lists its resolution time and source. Once the event occurs or reaches its deadline, Bayes applies the resolution rules and updates the market as "Settled." You can view results in your notifications, portfolio, or the market page.
Bayes aims to create clear markets, but in rare cases of ambiguity or contested outcomes, an internal review process will be initiated, taking community input into account. If necessary, the market may be marked "Invalid" and funds returned. Join our Discord to report issues: https://discord.gg/hb4R2jwa82

Currently, prediction rewards are distributed in Bayes Points, which can be used for trading and gift redemption. We're actively working on supporting stablecoins like USDC—stay tuned!
Bayes Points can be exchanged for real-world rewards, including an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple gift cards, Bayes-branded merchandise, and more. Redemption is expected to launch in October 2025. Have something special in mind? Suggest it in our Discord! We regularly collect community feedback and may add the most-requested items to the rewards pool.
